CBSE Board 2022 Result: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cleared the air on the evaluation criteria for the CBSE Board 2022 result declaration. By means of an official circular, the board has shed light on the distribution of the weightage for Term 1 and Term 2 exam scores. The circular, dated March 31, 2022, states that 30% weightage would be given to the marks obtained by students of Class 10 and 12 in Term 1 exams. In addition to this, 70% weightage will be given to the marks secured by students in Term 2.
Although the circular has not been released on the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in, it clearly informs about the 30:70 split between both the Term exams. Also, the board has stated that the internal marks awarded to the students by their schools will remain the same and will not be subject to any changes. The official notice is slated to be released soon by the board.
While the board had apprised of the 50-50 percent weightage criteria for Term 1 and Term 2 exams if the papers were conducted online, it has now decided to revise the evaluation criteria. The decision to alter the evaluation criteria was taken in view of the difficulties being faced by the board in evaluating the results.
The board, while elaborating on the same in the circular, states, "The CBSE Term 1 exams had been conducted as per the decided schedule, but owing to the difficulties being faced by both students and affiliated schools at present, the board has decided to reduce the weightage of Term 1 examinations".
After the board splits the scores obtained in both the terms in the ratio of 30:70, it will add the internal/practical marks to it and declare the final results.
