Ayesha Gauri has topped the Uttarakhand board class X exam 2017, for which results were announced on Tuesday. She scored 492 marks out of 500. Harsh Vardhan stood second by securing 73.6 %.
However, the pass percentage for the class 10 exams is at 73.67 per cent this year.
In 2016, Pritam Singh of SVMHHS School, Srinagar (Pauri) obtained the first position in the high school examinations with 98.2 percentile, whereas Saumya Srivastava of VVMIC Munsyari obtained the second position by getting 96.8% marks.
Similarly, Anjali of Chaudah Bigha (Rishikesh) and Kajal of SVMIC BHEL, Ranipur (Haridwar) jointly topped the state with 95.2% marks in the intermediate examination.
