Korean mobile maker Samsung, on Tuesday, announced the launch of its Note 3 smartphone, priced at Rs.49,900, as well as its Galaxy Gear smart watch, which has been priced at Rs.22,900, in the domestic market.
The Note 3, which is the most expensive device from the handset manufacturer’s stable, is powered by the Android operating system, and comes with a 5.7 inch screen along with a 13 megapixel camera.
“The Galaxy Note 3 represents the whole new evolution of the Galaxy Note experience. We have not increased the width of the screen, but have increased the size of display,” Samsung Country Head (Mobile and IT) Vineet Taneja said.
The phone will be available in black, white and pink with a 3200 mAh battery
The Note 3, along with Samsung’s first wearable water-resistant computing device Galaxy Gear, will be available for sale in the domestic market from September 25.
The Galaxy Gear would notify users and give them quick previews of incoming texts and emails. It would be compatible with most of the Samsung Galaxy devises, and the 10.1 tablet which the company would launch in October, Samsung Mobile Director Manu Sharma said.
