Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, HPBOSE has announced to cancel the Class 10th Board Exams 2021 due to the steady upsurge in COVID cases across the state. This decision has been taken in the meeting of the Himachal Pradesh State Government Cabinet held on Wednesday. According to the official announcement, the students of class 10th will be promoted to the next class without examination.

The Board authorities said that the final result of students in class X will be calculated based on their performance in the pre-board exams as well as in the first and second terms. The official notification is yet to be released by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education.



Separate Evaluation Criteria for Private and Government Schools
Dr Suresh Kumar Soni, Principal Secretary of Himachal Pradesh School Education Board, told a media interaction that due to some reasons, students of some private schools are not able to take either the first term or second term examinations. Separate criteria will be prepared for such students. At the same time, separate criteria will be made for the students of government schools. SOS Separate formulations are also being considered for the students.

Earlier today, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced to postpone the Class 12th board exams and cancelled class 10th examinations. All students and parents are advised to keep an eye on the official website of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, HPBOSE for the latest updates.
