September School Holidays List: The festival season in India commences in September. Different states will observe school closures for various occasions, including Vishwakarma Puja and Eid Milad-un-Nabi. In addition to these events, schools will also be closed in several states for other festivals, as well as on four Sundays and two Saturdays. Schools had a holiday for Ganesh Chaturthi on September 7, followed by a closure on Sunday, September 8. Moving forward, schools will be closed on Sundays—September 15, 22, and 29—and on the second and fourth Saturdays, specifically September 14 and 28.

Eid Milad-un-Nabi
School holiday will be observed in Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and various other states in observance of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, an annual festival commemorating the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on the traditional date of 12 Rabi' al-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar. Last year, it was celebrated on Thursday, September 28.
Vishwakarma Puja
Educational institutions in West Bengal will remain closed in observance of Vishwakarma Puja, scheduled for September 17. Additionally, schools in various regions of the state will also be closed. Students are advised to refer to the official notification regarding school closures.
