The Haryana government on Wednesday announced a 10 per cent reservation for Agniveers in some government jobs. The information was shared by Chief minister Nayab Saini during a press conference.  He said the state government will provide 10 percent horizontal (lateral) reservation to Agniveers in Haryana in direct recruitment to the posts of constable, mining guard, forest guard, jail warden and SPO.

He also pointed out that the Agnipath scheme, implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 14, 2022, was a welfare scheme of the government. "Youths are trained in the Army for four years.
