Chennai Rain: Schools To Remain Closed In These Districts Of Tamil Nadu, Read Details Here

Chennai Rain School Closure Update: Following heavy rain, Tamil Nadu government has declared a holiday tomorrow, October 16, 2024. The decision comes after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin conducted a review meeting regarding North East Monsoon preparedness on October 14. While Chennai and neighbouring districts are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next few days, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued alert for the capital city of Tamil Nadu and neighbouring districts. An orange alert has been issued for today while a Red Alert for Chennai and neighbouring districts as well as Puducherry has been issued for October 15 and 16. 

Schools To Remain Closed In These Districts Of Tamil Nadu

All the schools, colleges, government offices and public sector (except essential services) will remain closed tomorrow in Chennai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur and Chengalpattu districts, according to media reports. Indian Meteorological Department, IMD has issued Red Alert for tomorrow.
