The National Testing Agency has scheduled the examination for the Common University Entrance Test(CUET) UG 2022 from 15th July to 10th August,2022. As per the NTA Notification, Almost 10 lac students have applied for admission into 86 Universities, of which there are 43 Central Universities, 13 State Universities, 12 Deemed Universities and 18 Private Universities.

Furthermore, every candidate has applied to 5 Universities on an average. This means there will be steep competition among students to get admission into the Universities. So to overcome this dilemma, it is of utmost importance every student who has applied for a CUET UG 2022 must have clear insight and a robust strategy to ace this entrance test.

NTA CUET UG 2022: Examination Pattern


According to the framework envisaged by the University Grants Commission(UGC), the CUET UG 2022 exam paper pattern will contain MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions), which will be conducted in CBT (Computer-Based Test) format. On 26th June, NTA has also released the Practice mock test to familiarize candidates with the examination pattern.

NTA has divided the question paper into four sections, each designed to test the candidates' specific knowledge. The four sections are mentioned below: 
 

1. Section IA: This section is specifically curated to test the Knowledge of the Language of the candidate. This is a mandatory section, and the candidate must select at least one language from the 13 languages prescribed by the NTA. The evaluation will be done on the Reading comprehension, and candidates will be allocated 45 min to complete this test. Each question in the section will be five marks, and the total weightage will in this section will be 200 marks.


2. Section IB: This section is designed for the candidate who wants to pursue under graduation from the 19 special languages mentioned by NTA. This is not a mandatory section. Candidates can choose not to opt for any language in this section.


3. Section II: This section is Domain-Specific with which the candidate wants to pursue under-graduation. There are 27 subject choices from which the candidate can select a maximum of six subjects. In the Section II paper, the candidate must attempt 40 out of 50 questions from each subject choice based on the class 12 syllabus in 45 minutes. Each question will carry five marks, and the total weightage per subject will be 200.


4. Section III: This section is for admission into a university offering an undergraduate programme using the General exam. This section will test candidates' general knowledge, current events knowledge, general mental capacity, and numerical skills. The candidate will have to attempt 60 of the 75 questions in the test in one hour. For Each correct answer, the candidate will receive five marks, and the perfect score will be 300.
