Aircraft engine maker Pratt & Whitney will partner with YMCA University of Science and Technology to provide aerospace and aviation skill development programmes for students.

In this regard, the company and the Faridabad-based institute have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

"This partnership aims at facilitating the growth of aviation ecosystem in India by helping in creation of an industry ready talent pool through a number of skill development programmes and initiatives," Pratt & Whitney said in a release.

According to the release, the joint initiative would allow P&W and the university to explore short-term executive development programmes aimed at developing skill and talent needs of the aviation ecosystem.

They will also look at developing customised elective courses to be offered alongside existing university curriculum to prepare students for opportunities in aerospace and aviation sectors.
