The UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) has issued the admit cards for the constable examination 2016 for the recruitment of 34716 posts of Constable.


Out of 34,716 posts, 28,916 posts are reserved for male candidates and 5,800 Posts are reserved for female candidates.


A notification was issued in this regard by the UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav taking care of the recent intelligence report about looming threat due to presence of Al-Qaeda and Islamic State (IS) in Uttar Pradesh.


It is a direct recruitment, based on the Physical examination only. There will be no written examination

Eligibility criteria: Educational qualification


Candidates should have passed intermediate exam (class 12).


Age limit:

General : 22 years.

OBC/SC/ST category: Up to 27 years.


Selection procedure:

Selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of the class 10th and 12th board exams marks and physical exam.


Pay scale:


Under pay band of Rs 5,200 to Rs 20,200 with grade pay of Rs 2,000 per month.
