Governor Kalyan Singh today asked universities to upgrade their syllabus so that youth can develop strength to face challenges in a globalised world.

He called upon educationists and experts to brainstorm and give new dimension to the issue.

Singh, while addressing the convocation programme at the University of Rajasthan here, said the new generation will also have to develop a strength to face challenges which persists in the globalised world today.

"To enable youths to face such challenges, universities will have to upgrade syllabus as per todays need. Courses on skill development will also have to be started to make education job-oriented," he said.

Singh said all the government universities in the state will now hold job fairs and the beginning will be with the University of Rajasthan-Jaipur.
