Seventh pay commission to be announced soon and Adhocism in teacher appointment in Universities, Within one year stated by Prakash Javadekar, minister, human resource development on the occasion of National Conference on Higher Education Perspective in India at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, Delhi University (DU). As mentioned in the press release.

The Two days conference was inaugurated by Javadekar, on July 29.

This conference was organised by Akhil Bharatiya Shaikshik Mahasangh and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College. Around 400 delegates from 22 states are attending the conference.

The Minister began his inaugural speech by talking about Akhil Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh in the field of education and welfare of teachers across India. 
He talked about various aspects of education and highlighted the role played by teachers.

He also mentioned the fact that autonomy doesn’t mean cuts in grants which the central institutions receive. 

While speaking on promotion scheme, based on API system, for teachers he said that existing scheme would be suitably amended so that API points based on research would not be linked with the promotions for college teachers. He further said that research activities are very important and therefore research should be a part of promotion of teachers from University departments.

In the course of two days the delegates will brainstorm on the following areas: accountability of teachers- key to quality education, professional ethics and accountability of teachers, NAAC and  NIRF grading system, autonomy of institutions of higher learning, issues of grant cut for state funded institutions, teacher accountability and stakeholder responsibility, accountability framework of teachers.
