Professor K Muzaffer Ali Shahmiri has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
Mr Shahmiri , Professor and Head, Department of Urdu, School of Humanities, University of Hyderabad (UoH), completed his post graduation in Urdu from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati.
"The appointment has been notified by the Higher Education Department of Andhra Pradesh government for a period of four years," UoH said in a statement.
About Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University
Dr. Abdul Haq Urdu University is a State University established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The object of the university is to promote and develop Urdu language. However, the medium of instruction in all classes will be in both Urdu and English (Except M A in Urdu).
