The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) expelled 204 Class XII students for using unfair means in theintermediate examination on Wednesday.

Three persons in Arwal and Gaya districts were also arrested for helping the students during the board examination.

While the BSEB Class XII exam 2017 started on February 14 amid the question paper leak allegations, 12, 61, 793 students are appearing the in the state plus two examination. The exam will end on February 25.

Of the candidates barred from the rest of the examination, Bhojpur district accounted for the most (28), followed by Jehanabad (20) and Patna (16), the BSEB said in a statement.

Two weeks ago, 27 people were arrested on charges of helping candidates to cheat during Bihar Staff Selection Commission examination in Nawada.

According to reports, police raided a house situated in Warsaliganj and arrested the accused who allegedly supplied electronic devices to the candidates during the BSSC inter-level (second phase)examination held at various centres across the states.

While questions were leaked on an online chatting platform Whatsapp, the exam started at 11 am on Sunday.
