The Jawaharlal Nehru University will hold its second convocation after a period of 46 years, and this time it will be only for the PhD students.
A circular signed by Registrar Pramod Kumar said JNU will hold its second convocation to confer Phd degrees on students in the first week of March or last the week of February.
"Actual date will be notified soon," the circular said.
The university's Rector-II Satish Chandra Garkoti is heading a panel to oversee the conduct of the event.
"The university is also planning continue holding the event every year and is also mulling to include other degrees," Kumar told PTI.
First convocation of the university was held in the year 1972, when G Parthasarathi was the Vice Chancellor.
