With Jawaharlal Nehru University mullling to shift entrance exam from May to December, the JNU’s teachers’ association has sought more time from the administration to give feedback on the decision
“The entrance exams for 2018 will be conducted in December this year. A committee has been formed to find modalities to conduct the exam,” JNU Vice-Chancellor M. Jagadesh Kumar told PTI.
The administration sent a letter on June 5 seeking feedback from the dean of all schools, chairperson of all centres and special centres by June 8, reports Hindustan Times.
JNUTA president Ayesha Kidwai said between now and December 2017, there is “simply not enough time to mount a careful consideration of all the issues, which must include due reflection on all the issues raised by JNU students’ union (JNUSU). She also pointed out that the university has only given three days to chairpersons and deans to collate the opinions of their colleagues.
