Fees can be soon waived off for Undergraduate students in Delhi government’s universities. 

Manish Sisodia, Delhi deputy chief minister has recently announced the fee waiver scheme on merit-cum-means basis for admission to Undergraduate programmes. 

“100% fee waiver will be given to those students which are from family covered under National Food Security Scheme and 50% waiver will be given to those students from families with Rs2.5 lakh annual income,” Sisodia said.

25% fee-waiver will be given to those students from families with income of more than Rs 2.5 lakh and not exceeding Rs 6 lakh per annum.

Students getting 60% marks in class XII will be eligible for the scheme and students of SC/ST category will get five per cent fee relaxation.

GGS Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), Delhi Technological University (DTU), Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IITD), Ambedkar University, Indira Gandhi Delhi Technological University for Women and Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University are the universities covered under the scheme.
