Becoming a CS is not so easy. It calls for a dedicated and consistent preparation. The admission to the CS course is open throughout the year. Examinations are conducted twice a year - June and December. The students have to register online at www.icsi.edu to write the exam.
If a student wishes to join the CS Course after 10+2 then he need to go through these three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course:

• Executive Program
• Professional Program
On the other hand, if a student wants to join the CS Course after passing Graduation then need to go through these three stages to pursue the Company Secretaries Course:

Foundation Program:
The 4 exam papers to clear the foundation CS program are:
• Business Environment & Entrepreneurship
• Business Management, Ethics and Communication
• Business Economics
• Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing
Executive Program:
There are total 7 exam papers divided into two modules. Theexam papers to clear the executive CS program are:
Module 1:
• Company Law
• Cost and Management Accounting
• Economic and Commercial Laws
• Tax Laws and Practice
Module 2:
• Company Accounts and Auditing Practices
• Capital Markets and Securities Laws
• Industrial, Labour and General Laws
Professional Program:
There are total 8 exam papers divided into four modules. The exam papers to clear the professional CS program are:
Module 1:
• Company Secretarial Practice
• Drafting, Appearances and Pleadings
Module 2:
• Financial, Treasury and Forex Management
• Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency
Module 3:
• Strategic Management, Alliances and International Trade
• Advance Tax Laws and Practices
Module 4:
• Due Diligence and Corporate Compliance Management
• Governance, Business Ethics and Sustainability
Examination fee
Exam fees is Rs.1200/- per program per module.
Pass Marks
In a bid to qualify CS exam, the candidate should secure a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects.
