Today i.e. November 14, India is celebrating Children's Day as a tribute to Jawaharlal Nehru, India's  first Prime Minister.
 

Children are referred to be the foundation bricks of the nation.

 

It not something new which is been discovered today, but a thought, that was given an actual shape by the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.


Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was popularly know as Chacha Nehru among children.

 

He after becoming a prime minister, took an initiative for the children of India, to provide them education, as he always said that “ the art of a person is a true mirror to their minds”.

 

If we see the children of India, they are actually making our country with their art and the art only projects what the children are taught.

 

Chacha Nehru not only used to give preference to the children for the development of the country but he also use to love them personally.

 

Before India’s independence in 1947, Children’s Day was celebrated on the day, the United nations observed the universal Children’s Day i.e. on November 20.

 

But it was unanimously decided to celebrate Children’s Day on the birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru as a tribute to his love after his death.

 

Nehru was very found of children as he used to often meet young kids and showed a lot of love and affection towards them.

 

In India Children’s day is celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm.

 

In schools, teachers portray to be children and make the day special for the children.

 

Schools organize fashion shows, different games and prize distribution for all the children.

 

On the occasion of Children’s Day, here are some thoughts given by Chacha Nehru
