The official notification of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017 is expected to be declared till July 30, 2017. 

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow will release the notification.

The registration may start from August 7, 2017.

Aspirants will get 45 days span to register the CAT exam. IIM Lucknow may also bring out some changes in the exams schedule.

The eligibility for CAT exam is that, the applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institution. 

The exam is a computer based test which consists of objective type questions.
There are three sections in the exam that are:

-    Verbal and reading comprehension 

-    Data interpretation and logical reasoning 

-    Quantitative exam

Whereas, the selection procedure is also based on group discussion and personal interview.

In 2016, the notification was released on August 1 and the exam was conducted on December 4.
