Punjab government today said the process of recruiting 1,428 teachers has started in the state. Punjab education minister Sikander Singh Maluka said the recruitment process is going on in model schools, Adarsh Schools and the Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) through the Punjab Teachers Recruitment Board.
Giving details, the minister said 264 head masters and 764 teachers would be recruited under RMSA, whereas posts of 10 principals and 205 subject-wise lecturers would be filled in the model schools. Moreover, 127 teachers would also be selected for model schools.
For Adarsh Schools, posts of 38 subject-wise lecturers and 20 teachers would also be filled up, he added.
