An exhibition of paintings and sketches was today inaugurated at Jamia Millia Islamia by Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung. The exhibition, entitled ''Event Horizon'', showcases works by Pankaj Sharan, a professor of physics at Jamia.
“Education has to be multi-faceted; true education and knowledge is that which transcends exclusive disciplines,” Jung said at the inauguration.
Sharan is a theoretical physicist who has worked at Jamia for the last 32 years. The exhibition is on till Saturday.
Jung interacted with the staff and students of the university and said it always made him happy to be amidst them.
Jung was the 13th Vice-Chancellor of Jamia and was in office for almost four years from 2009 to 2013.
