A memorandum of understanding was signed today between the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and Singapore Management University to mutually support each other in the pursuit of excellence in global business education.
The MoU was signed by provost and deputy president of SMU, Professor Rajendra Srivastava and director, IIM-L, Devi Singh.
"Both IIM Lucknow and SMU would closely collaborate for research, executive education programmes and faculty and student exchange programme," Singh told reporters here.
Another important feature of this collaboration would be to explore designing, developing and delivering of joint programmes leading to certifications from both SMU and IIM-L, he said.
The director said that as the world gets globally connected, unification of professional education enriches the process of learning and reaches a greater potential.
"With globalization comes in the opportunities that have been created in various domains of learning. Research cannot be confined to geographies. In order to invent new measures of teaching and learning, we today join hands with one of the Asias's leading institutions, SMU, to share our expertise and learn together," he added.
