The Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court today directed the Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board to revalue the answer-sheets of all candidates who appeared for PG Assistant Examination-2013.

The court also asked the Board to delete some questions and award marks where it (court) disagreed, while rejecting the objections pertaining to many other questions.

Justice S Nagamuthu, disposing of a batch of petitions, directed the Board to revalue the answer-sheets as per the expert committee''s findings and also consequential orders passed in various petitions pertaining to it and then publish the names of candidates for certificate verification.

The judge said the interim order earlier granted directing the Board not to publish the results, after certificate verification, shall continue till fresh results were published after revaluation of answer papers.

The judge also dismissed eleven petitions challenging four questions, filed later, and seeking to direct the Board to revise the key answers and award marks for the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test Exam - 2013 held on August 18.

The judge noted that the Board issued the tentative key answers, calling for objections. Thereafter experts considered the objections. Based on their opinion, the final key answers were published on the official website. The results were published on November 5.

After publication of the results, a number of petitions were filed before this court which found prima-facie case in favour of some of the petitioners and decided the challenges in respect of at least around 65 questions.

Observing that the court was of the view that it cannot go on entertaining the petitions challenging the key answers, he said, “I make it very clear that in respect of this matter, we cannot entertain endless litigations”, and dismissed them.
