Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Thursday announced that four new medical colleges and hospitals will be set up in the state.

Raje said the government would expand medical facilities in the state and four new medical colleges and hospitals will be set up in Bharatpur, Dungarpur, Barmer and Churu districts in near future.

Besides, the government has planned to set up new polytechnic colleges to improve technical education in the state, Raje said, while speaking at the inauguration of a polytechnic college in district Baran.

New dams will also be constructed for irrigation purpose in Baran and Jhalawar districts in a year, a press release here said quoting Raje.

She also announced a package of Rs 56 crore for flood management for Baran district, it said.
