Owing to the threats posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the NTA held the phase 1 of UGC NET December 2020 and June 2021 between November 20 and December 5, 2021. Similarly, the Phase-II exam was conducted between December 24 to December 27, 2021 and Phase-III on January 4 and 5 through Computer-based test (CBT) mode for 81 subjects. These also included multiple shift exams for Commerce, History, English, Political Science, other rescheduled papers and re-examination papers.
Notably, the NTA has released the UGC NET Answer Key 2021 for Phase 1, 2 and 3 exams. Along with this, the UGC NET Question paper provincial answer key of the exam will be released between January 21 and January 24, 2022. Candidates can raise objections against the answer key by Monday midnight.
Candidates who want to check and download their answer key can visit the website ugcnet.nta.nic.in using their credentials (application number and date of birth/password) generated during the time of registration.
UGC NET Answer key: Steps to raise challenge
Candidates desirous of raising challenge against the released answer key can follow the simple steps mentioned herewith.
- Visit the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in and log in using your credentials.
- Click on 'View Question Paper' for marked responses and to challenge the Answer keys, click on the link that reads 'Click to view/challenge answer key.'
- Question IDs will appear in sequential order. The ID next to the question under the column 'Correct option' implies the correct answer key to be used by NTA. Dropped questions are highlighted and not for challenge.
- To challenge this option, you may opt for any one or more of the option IDs given in the next four columns by clicking the check box.
- After selecting the desired option, scroll down, click on 'Save your claims' and move to the next screen.
- All option IDs that you have challenged will be displayed before you.
- In order to upload supporting documents, you can select 'Choose file' and upload them.
- Click on 'Save your claim' and pay the fee'. To modify the claims, click on 'Modify your claims'.
- After saving the claims, your challenges will be displayed before you. Finally, pay the fees. The claims will be saved after the successful payment of the required fee.
