The Joint Seat Allocation Authority, or JoSAA, is anticipated to begin its counselling process in September. For admission to IITs, NITs, and other technical institutes, JoSAA counselling sessions are held.

According to the announced schedule, JoSAA counselling will start on September 12 for students who have passed both the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exams. The candidates can check the complete schedule on josaa.nic.in.

Students who passed the JEE Mains test in 2022 but do not intend to take the JEE Advanced exam must also wait till the JEE Advanced exam. The counselling won't start till after the IIT JEE exam is over.

The JoSAA Counseling will include participation from 114 different institutes. This includes 33 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes, 31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs, and 23 IITs (Other-GFTIs)

There are a total of six rounds in which candidates who wish to be admitted to an IIT must compete. There will be a release of the NIT+ system's final list.

The counselling process in 2021 began on September 15 and was completed on November 24 with the final round of seat withdrawals. The schedule will be made available soon after the JEE Advanced 2022 exam is over. The website is currently operational.

The exam will take place on August 28, 2022. Students planning to participate in counselling who are not JEE Advanced eligible must have their JEE Main score as well as all necessary documentation and certificates.
