Candidates qualifying for JAM 2023 will be eligible for direct admission to approximately 3000 seats in various postgraduate programmes at IITs. Meanwhile, approx 30 CFTIs including NITs, IISc, DIAT, IIEST, IISER, IIPE, JNCASR, and SLIET use the JAM Score for admission in over 2300 seats.

JAMS 2023: Examination Pattern
The JAM 2023 Examination for all the seven Test Papers will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) where the candidates will be shown the questions in a random sequence on a computer screen and for all the seven Test Papers, the duration of the examination will be of 3 hours.
There will be a total of 60 questions carrying a total of 100 marks. The entire paper will be divided into three sections A, B and C. All sections are compulsory. Questions in each section will be of different types. The examination will be objective type, with three types of questions: (i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), (ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and (iii) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
JAMS Examination 2023: Application Fee
Candidates from the Unreserved/OBC Categories will have to pay an amount of Rs 1800 for one paper and Rs.2500 for two papers.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories will have to pay Rs 900 for One Paper and Rs 1250 for two papers. Women belonging to all the categories will have to pay the same application fee as reserved categories.
