IIT Madras BSc Data Science: Eligibility Criteria
The students of Class 11 and 12 are eligible to apply for the programme. The institution has given the green flag to the students of Class 11 to directly apply for the qualifier process. Thus, students of Class 11 who will be promoted to Class 12 in May 2022 or the students currently studying in Class 12 can apply for the May term programme. In case such students qualify for the course, they can begin the coursework after passing Class 12.
Along with this, college students, working professionals and candidates currently on a career break also stand a chance to apply for the said programme.
IIT Madras BSc Data Science: Selection Process
Interested applicants will have to undergo a 4-week long training programme which encompasses video lectures, weekly assignments, discussion forum and live interactions with course instructors and professors. Post training period, the applicants will have to appear for the qualifier exam, which will be held in the offline mode. Questions will be based on the content taught in the 4-week long training period.
Candidates will be considered qualified if they secure more marks than the fixed cut-off score. Meanwhile, students who will clear the JEE Advanced exam can directly join the programme in May 2022.

- Sign up on the website using your Gmail ID. Click on the 'Radio' button post signup.
- The application form will appear on the screen. Start filling in all the information and upload the necessary documents required.
- Pay the application form fees and submit all details.
- Download the confirmation page and obtain its hard copy for future references.
