GATE 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will begin the registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 today. Interested candidates can visit the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. to complete the registration form. According to the official schedule, the GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 in two shifts.

The first shift will be commenced from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the second shift will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The GATE 2025 admit card will be issued on 2 January 2025. Candidates will have to use their login credentials such as registration number and date of birth to download the GATE 2025 admit card. 

The application process for the GATE 2025 was previously scheduled to begin on August 24 but it was later postponed. This postponement of the application window will not have any impact on the other dates, including the examination schedule. According to the official notice, “Uploading unreadable documents may lead to delays in processing the application and may lead to rejection of candidature.”

GATE 2025: Application fees

Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, as well as female candidates- Rs 900

For all other candidates, the registration fee- Rs 1,800. The GATE 2025 application fee must be paid online via credit, debit card, or net banking.

GATE 2025: Eligibility criteria 

The candidates who are currently studying in the third or higher years of any undergraduate program or who have completed any government-approved degree program in engineering/ technology/ architecture/ science/ commerce/ arts/ humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2025. 

However, candidates pursuing an undergraduate degree from countries other than India can also apply for the same.
