FMGE December 2024: The National Medical Commission has opened the application window for obtaining the eligibility certificate required for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) 2024 December screening test. Interested candidates can visit the official website i.e. nmc.org.in. to apply for obtaining the FMGE 2024 eligibility certificate.
The application window for obtaining the FMGE 2024 eligibility certificate will close on 4 November 2024 at 6 pm. The FMGE exam will be conducted in December 2024. The FMGE 2024 December session will be conducted in online mode. The paper will be divided into two parts with 150 questions in each. The duration of the FMGE 2024 exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.
There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The FMGE is a certification test conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). Indian citizens or OCIs who have obtained their primary medical degree from a foreign institution are required to pass this exam to be eligible for registration with the NMC or a State Medical Council (SMC) to practice in India.
According to the official notice, "It may be noted that this is the last opportunity to apply for the Eligibility Certificates and thereafter no further chance would be available to the candidates to apply for the Eligibility Certificates. Accordingly, all candidates are requested to apply by doing due diligence and checking the requisite entries scrupulously before applying. An Advisory in this connection would also be issued separately shortly by Registration EMRB and would be available on the website of NMC."
The candidates who have already submitted their applications for an eligibility certificate in the past. According to the NMC, those candidates do not need to reapply. Their applications will continue to be processed, and they can follow up using the file tracking number for updates if necessary.
