CAT 2024: The Indian Institution of Management (IIM) Calcutta is going to begin the registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 today. Interested candidates will be able to fill up the registration form by visiting the official website i.e. iimcat.ac.in. 

The candidates must note that the application window will remain open till 13 September 2024. According to the official schedule, the CAT 2024 exam will be conducted on 24 November 2024 in three shifts: the first shift from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, the second shift from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm, and the third shift from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.

CAT is a national-level entrance exam in India, conducted for admission to various postgraduate management programs, including the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The exam is conducted annually by one of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) on a rotational basis.

CAT 2024: Application fees

Candidates from the general, Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category are required to pay the application fee of Rs 2,500 to register for the CAT 2024. For scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and person with disabilities (PwD) categories the registration fee of Rs 1,250.

CAT 2024: Eligibility criteria

Candidates should hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum CGPA of 50% (45% for SC, ST, and PwD, DA categories) from a recognized university. The degree should be a 3-year program and can be completed through regular, distance, or online modes.

Candidates who are in their final year of a bachelor's degree program or are awaiting their degree results are also eligible to apply for the CAT 2024 exam.

Candidates with professional degrees such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), Cost and Management Accountant (ICWA), or Fellow Chartered Accountant of India (FCAI) are also eligible.
