IIM CAT Registration 2024: Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) is going to close the Common Admission Test (CAT 2024) registration window today, 13 September.  According to the previously established schedule, the registration period for the CAT 2024 exam concludes today. As of the latest updates, the deadline for registration has not been extended. Candidates who have not yet registered are advised to promptly visit the official website, iimcat.ac.in, to complete and submit their application forms.

Candidates have to pay the application fee to complete the registration process. The registration fee is Rs 2,500 for general, economically weaker section (EWS) candidates and Rs 1,250 for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person with Disability (PWD) applicants. The fee can be paid online through credit card, debit card, UPI or net banking.

The exam will have three sections - Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). The paper will have a total of 66 questions.
 

CAT 2024 Exam: Date and Paper Pattern
The CAT exam will be conducted on November 24, 2024 in online mode and admit cards will be released on November 4, 2024. The exam will be conducted online in three shifts.
  • 1st Shift - 8:30 am to 10:30 am
  • 2nd Shift - 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm
  • 3rd Shift - 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm

CAT 2024: Eligibility Criteria  
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% (45% for SC, ST and PWD, DA categories) CGPA from a recognized university to appear for the exam.
  • Duration and Mode of Degree: The degree is required to be a 3-year program and can be completed through regular, distance or online mode. Final year students in their final year or candidates awaiting their degree results are eligible to apply for CAT exam 2024.
  • Professional Degree: Those with a professional degree like CA, CS, ICWA, or FCAI are also eligible.
  • Work Experience: The CAT exam is open to both fresh graduates and working professionals. Though not mandatory, work experience is beneficial during the admission process after the entrance exam.
