The Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) on Tuesday said it has launched three new engineering programmes in India in partnership with Northumbria University of UK.
The courses are - Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Master of Science Project Management.
"We have launched three new engineering programmes. Admissions will be opened to Indian students and the first intake will take place in September, a statement from MDIS said here."
The programmes at MDIS are aimed to produce graduates proficiently for challenging and rewarding careers in all facets of engineering, ranging from R&D, product design to development and manufacturing, it said.
MDIS' Head of School of Engineering, Lai Yin Ling, said, “Many employers find value in employing engineers, whether it is for management, operational, execution or planning roles, regardless of the sector.

"Engineers are known for their excellent analytical skills and the Northumbria University programmes are specifically tailored to prepare them for the rigours of a fulfilling career."
MDIS also offers merit scholarships (International), which are awarded to students on the basis of academic performance, leadership potential, special talents or other personal characteristics.
