Students aspiring to get admission in state-run Industrial Training Institutes will no longer have to stand in long queues outside application form counters as they will now be able apply online.
Delhi government on Friday announced that it has extended online admission registration facility for engineering and non-engineering courses in ITIs for the new academic session.
The online registration admission facility for ITIs would be a big relief for applicants as they will no longer have to stand in long queues for collecting and depositing the forms, Delhi government officials said.
There are a total number of 8,476 seats in 17 ITIs across the country. These institutions are affiliated either with National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT).
To encourage more female students to take admission, special provisions such as exemption in tuition fees and 30 per cent reservation of preferred seats at co-educational institutes have been made, the officials said.
The last date for online registration is June 30.
