Indian Institute of Health Management Research University has introduced a degree in Masters of Public Health in co-operation with the John Hopkins University of USA.

"The programme is designed to focus on public health capacity building in developing countries and cultivate students" health management skills, so that they will be prepared to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of public health programs," IIHM release said.

It also aims in preparing professionals for challenging careers in public health management in the public and private sectors.

The training of the course will be given at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA campus.

Three-fourth of terms of the course will be taught in India, and one term (Intensive Institute) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, USA, it said.

Out of the total 80 credits, 30 are taught by JHU faculty which has already started and the remaining 50 credits are taught by IIHMR faculty which will start in January 2015.



The MPH degree will be awarded by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
