IGNOU PhD, MPhil Admissions 2019 update: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the MPhil and PhD registration process. Candidates should note that the last date of application is March 25, 2019.


The varsity will conduct the entrance exam on April 7, 2019. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam are advised to check the registration process mentioned below.


IGNOU PhD, MPhil Admissions 2019: Instructions to register online

  • Step 1: Visit the official website ignou.ac.in.

  • Step 2: Click on ‘Register online’ tab.

  • Step 3: A PDF will open, click on ‘online registration for PhD/ MPhil option.

  • Step 4: Follow the instructions and register yourself.

  • Step 5: Click on ‘Declaration’ then ‘I agree and proceed’.

  • Step 6: Fill form.

  • Step 7: Pay application fee.

The selection process consists of two parts.

Part II – Interview
To get admission into PhD/ MPhil programme, applicants must qualify both stages of the selection process.
