The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced admission for Certificate in Japanese Language Programme for July 2018 session.

The programme aims at providing beginners with the basics of Japanese Language.

The programme has Self Learning Material (SLM) integrated with Audio-Visual components, which will further enhance the learning capacity of students. 

The programme will be available in all regions through respective Regional Centres and anyone above 18 years of age with 10+2 will be eligible to take admission in this programme- said Shivaji Bhaskar, Coordinator of the Programme.

With ever-growing relations between India and Japan, learning the Japanese language will certainly give the advantage to the learners in today’s job market said- Anju Sahgal Gupta, Director SOFL.

The last date of admission in the programme is on August 15, 2018

In Other News, IGNOU has appointed New Vice Chancellor, Nageshwar Rao, Professor has joined as the Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi National Open University, the Open University.

Prof Rao was Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Open University (UOU) prior to this appointment.

He was acting VC of IGNOU earlier from 28th November 2014 to 28th April 2016 and was also Pro Vice-Chancellor, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) New Delhi from December 2013 to November 2014.

He is also the chairman of the National Task Force, the committee constituted to assess and accredit open universities under NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).

Also, IGNOU has announced admission for Certificate in Korean Language & Culture Programme for July 2018 session.

The programme aims at providing beginners with the basics of Korean Language.
