The offline application process for admissions in Delhi University's undergraduate courses is set to begin on Friday, with over two lakh candidates having already registered online for the same.
The eight registration centres where offline forms will be accepted are Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College, Dyal Singh College, Gargi College, Maharaja Agrasen College, PG DAV College, Rajdhani College, Shyam Singh College and SGTB Khalsa College.
"All the centres have been instructed to set up at least four windows for sale and acceptance of forms. In case of unexpected rush, more counters will be set up. Help desks have also been established to guide the admission seekers in case of doubts regarding filling of forms," DU spokesperson and Joint Dean of Students' Welfare, Malay Neerav said.
"Special desks have been set up for facilitation of students from North East. Since, the form doesn't need any photograph or signature of the candidate, it is not necessary for the admission seeker to visit the centre. The application can be made by someone else on his or her behalf," he added.
A total of 54,000 seats in various undergraduate programmes are up for grab and the last date for application is June 15.
The Centralised Optical Mark Recognition (OMR)forms are also available on Delhi University's website -- www.du.ac.in -- and students applying online will have to make the payment through internet banking.
The fee for General category students is Rs 100 whereas for SC/ST students the admission form will cost Rs 50.
Since the online registrations process began on May 28, the university has received 2,17,891 applications.
(a). Fill the application form only in blue or black ball pen
(b). Do not fold the form from anywhere, not even bend
(c). Write your Name, Roll Number, Board Name and passing year carefully and also color the circle with utmost care.
(d). After filling the application form recheck the provided information
(e). Write the subject code from page number 07 on yellow page.
(f). Do not enclose any certificate or photo with the application form.
(g). To avail the facility of hostel students need to fill a separate form.
(h). Before submission of application form take both side's print out to be kept as acknowledgement.
(i). Correctly darken the circle as computer reads out only the darken circle properly.
(j). To avail Sports and ECA quota a seperate form needs to be filled.
"A total of 2,17,891 candidates had registered online till 5.30 PM today out of which 1,26,855 have already made the payment." Neerav said.

The university has received 83,201 applications in General category, 28,021 for OBC, 12,850 for SC, 2,484 for ST and 295 for Persons With Disability category, he added.
The first cut off list will be announced on June 25.
