DU Admission 2019 update: While the Delhi University released its first cut-off list for the Undergraduate programme for 2019-20 sessions in the last week of June, 93 candidates with 100 % aggregate in best of 4 subjects had been admitted to just three colleges.

his year Political Science course of Hindu College marked 99% in the cut-off. This is the highest cut-off marks for admission in DU. Usually; BA English Honors’ receives the highest Cut-off.

Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has set a cut-off of 98.5% marks for admission to BCom (Hons) course.

Kirori Mal College has announced a cut-off of above 97% for admission into popular courses like BA English (Hons), BA Economics (Hons) and BCom (Hons).
For the English (Hons) the highest cut-off announced by Lady Shri Ram College and Hindu College is 97.75%, with a drop of 0.25% point.

For the Journalism, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce has set a cut-off of 98.5%. Bharati College for women has announced a cut-off of 94% for a journalism course.

What after Cut-off?
After the releasing of cut-off list, students have to follow these steps for further process:
- Candidates need to check the cut-off list according to their choice based college and course.
- Login to the admission portal on the official website of DU.
- Select the course and college according to the candidate’s choice.
- Pay the Fee online by using the link available on the dashboard. 
- After the payment, the application process for that particular college will be complete.
- Take out the photocopy of that form.

Admission Timings
The admission process of morning colleges is from 9 am to 1 pm (Monday to Saturday). The admission process of Evening colleges is from 2 pm to 6 pm. 

The documents required during the admission process:
The candidates need to submit the following original certificates and documents along with the photocopy. All the documents must be self-attested.
 Here is the list of documents that candidates need to bring at the time of the admission process:
  1. Passport size Photograph of the candidate
  2. Scanned signature of the applicant
  3. Self -attested class 10 mark sheet.
  4. Provisional or original certificate of class 12 
  5. Self -attested class 12 mark sheet.
  6. Character Certificate from the school
  7. Transfer or Migration Certificate from school
  8. SC/ST/PWD/OBC Certificate
  9. Copy of online registration form of university 
  10. Self-attested copies of sports or ECA certificates

First Cut-off list
Date: June 28, 2019
Document Verification, approval of admission and payment of fee is started from today June 28, 2019-July 1, 2019 (except Sunday)

Second Cut-off list
Date: July 4, 2019
Document Verification, approval of admission and payment of fee will be accepted from July 4, 2019-July 6, 2019.

Third Cut-off List
Date: July 9, 2019
Document Verification, approval of admission and payment of fee will start from July 9, 2019, till July 11, 2019.
 
Fourth Cut-off List
Date: July 15, 2019
Document Verification, approval of admission and payment of fee will start from July 15, 2019, till July 17, 2019.
 
Fifth Cut-off List
Date: July 20, 2019
Document Verification, approval of admission and payment of fee will start from July 20, 2019, till July 23, 2019.

For the Change of College
In case an applicant wishes to change his/her college after the release of Cut-off, have to follow these steps:
  • First, make sure she/he is eligible and advised to visit the college to confirm.
  • After confirmation, the candidate required to cancel the admission to the first college and then re-apply.
  • The fee will be transferred online to the new college of the candidate.
Reservation in DU admission
OBC: there is 27% of seats are reserved for OBC category, with 10% relaxation of marks.
SC/ST: For SC 15% and for ST 7.5% seats are reserved with 5% relaxation of marks.
PwD: There is a reservation of 3%.
Foreign Students: 5% of seats are reserved for foreign students
Sports/ECA quota: Maximum 5% of seats are reserved for them
Kashmiri migrants: With5 % of reservation in seats, Kashmiri migrants’ students will get 10% relaxation of marks.
Minorities: some of the colleges provide 50% of reservation on the seats for certain communities.
 
No. of Applicants of DU
In Delhi University, Colleges are supposed to give admission to all applicants who meet the announced Cut-off criteria. There is no first come-first serve policy.
According to the DU official website data; 3, 67,895 applicants got themselves registered.

However, only 2, 58,388 paid the registration fee.

The no. of female applicants witnessed higher registration than boy’s category, except EWS.
