On June 14th, 2019 Delhi University’s last date of registration for the admissions was extended to June 22. The decision had been taken by the Delhi high court on Friday. The Court has also talked about the new eligibility criteria for Undergraduate Courses, which has been submitted by Delhi University yesterday.

Now for the admission, students have to follow these criteria:

- For admission in BA, students have to score at least 45%.
- For BCom, students must have 40% marks in 12th standard.
- For BSc courses 50% marks are essential.
- In the best 4 subjects, 1 language and three best elective subjects will be included.
- In English or Hindi subjects in ‘Best four’ will be mandatory.
- For Hindi and English (Hons) candidates need to have a minimum of 55% in Hindi and English.

The direction came on the last scheduled day of the registration. The order was taken by a bench of Justice Anu Malhotra and Talwant Singh. The court had also said that direction will not prevent DU from making changes to the eligibility criteria in the upcoming years to its UG courses. But the bench made it clear that the changes in eligibility criteria have to be made in accordance with the law.

Delhi University’s official notification stated that registration for the admission concluded on June 14. The first cut-off is expected to be released on June 20. But now with the changes in the deadline, the cut-off dates will be postponed.

According to last data of DU, 3,37,947 candidates have sent their registration on the official website. Amongst them 1,39,371 candidates are from the unreserved category, 49,172 are from backward classes, SC-31,281, Scheduled Tribes-6,444 and Economical Weaker Section-7,820.

Due, to server down or some issues most of the students can’t register for the admission. Now the students can register for the admission till June 22, which would be much helpful for the candidates.
