The sale of OMR forms and offline registration for admissions to undergraduate courses at Delhi University kick-started today with a total of 21,813 forms being sold from the eight college centres on the first day.
Total registration, online and offline, reached 2,35,728 with 1,41,590 students depositing the fee so far, said Joint Dean Students Welfare, Malay Neerav.
Last year 32,460 OMR forms were sold on the first day while this year the number has reduced as the DU was focusing on online registrations.
The number of college centres for sale of OMR forms and offline registration have been reduced this year to eight. No centre is set up in North Campus and all the eight college centres are situated in South Campus.
The highest number of OMR forms -- 5,611 -- were sold on the first day from Khalsa college. All the eight college centres recieved a total of 5,111 filled up OMR admission forms on the first day.
The online registration process will continue till June 15 while offline forms will be accepted at the registration centres (colleges) from June 5 to June 15.
The offline applications for admissions through sports and extra Curricular activities (ECA) quota are being accepted at the respective colleges.
DU will announce the first cut-off list on June 25.

It will be followed by six more cut off lists. Further lists may also be announced provided seats are vacant for admission.
