UPSC exam: 3 girls clinch top three slots in Rajasthan
Ananya Das, Gargi Jain and Kuhuk Bhushan are the three girls who have stood at the top in Rajasthan in the UPSC exams, just like the national list in which four out of five toppers are women.

Ananya clinched 16th rank followed by Gargi Jain 45th and Kuhuk Bhushan 91 rank in the state.

Others from Rajasthan who cleared the prestigious exam are Ayushi Sharma 155, Gaurav Awasthi 208, Akansha Sharma 388, Ramniwas Yadav 394 and Subh Agrawal 426 positions.

Ananya did her B.Tech in Computer Science and MSc in Economics from BITS Pilani. She told PTI that it was her first attempt after quitting job of a software company.

"I was little sure to get this position in IAS main examination," she said.

"I wish to work for welfare of people specially girls and poor children besides my administrative duties. I have not planned the particular discipline to be selected as it will take its own time," she said.

Ananya is elder daughter of an RBI officer posted in Jaipur.

When contacted, Kuhuk, who made second attempt in IAS competition securing 91 position said, "In the first attempt in 2013 exams I got 177th position and was serving Indian Revenue Services in Nagpur since then. I feel elevated and wish to come in main stream of IAS in the country".

Kuhuk, whose parents are senior IAS officers in Rajasthan, did her graduation and post graduation in Economics from US.

"I had the freedom to choose my career option. This field will give me a chance to work for the country's economic development with a broader scope of working from junior to senior level," she said.

Gargi Jain, who secured 45th rank, made Alwar district proud with her success. She could not be contacted.
