Staff Selection commission (SSC) is an Indian organization which recruits staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices.
SSC from time to time announces recruitment notification for the candidate of Graduate Level. It also announces all competitive exam result conducted by the commission.
The commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations.SSC has recently notified the recruitment notification for Data Entry Operator and LDC posts.

The Combined Graduate Level Examination is conducted to select candidates for majority of Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ posts including assistants in central ministries, income tax and central excise inspectors, assistant enforcement officers, sub-inspectors in Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and inspectors in Central Bureau of Narcotics, among others.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had postponed this year’s Combined Graduate Level Examination-2014 (CGLE), which was scheduled to be held on 27 April and 4 May, citing Lok Sabha elections. The new date for the examination will be intimated in due course of time, the SSC said.The recruitment body will also conduct re-examination of Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE)-2013 at seven centres—Lucknow, Patna, Allahabad, Delhi, Jaipur, Shimla and Dehradun—after the elections. There had been reports of use of unfair means by candidates at these centres.
