UGC-NET includes five new subjects
Five new subjects have been included in UGC-NET examination.

CBSE will hold the UGC-NET for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor on June 28 (Sunday) across the country.

Drama, Theater, Karnataka Music, Rabindra Sangeet and Instrument are some prominent subjects that have been included and for which the examination will also be conducted.

Students pursuing their career in Drama and Theater will get fellowship while it will also pave the way to become an assistant professor and professor. The online application process for UGC-NET (June -2015) has already started.

Issuing the examination notification on its official website it said that "The willing and desirous candidates may apply online for same."

Some changes have been done in the application process as well. CBSE has been conducting UGC-NET exams since December 2014. CBSE has brought some changes in application process.

Earlier students had to send the hard copy of application to the co-ordinating university but this process has been quashed now.

NET is a gateway for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges.

CBSE will conduct NET in 84 subjects at 89 selected NET Examination Cities spread across the country.
