The Gauhati University (GU) has kept the schedule of entrance exams on hold as per High court order. The entrance exam was for admission to Postgraduate courses.
The exams are expected to begin on July 20, 2017. Few graduates raised the issue related the selection process to the High court.
HC stayed the decision of the university on conducting entrance exam. Candidate can visit the website: http://web.gauhati.ac.in/admissions/ for the updates on the exams.
According to the official website it mentions “In response to the Honourable Gauhati High Court order under Ref. Case No WP(C) 4125/2017, all Entrance Tests for the PG Admission 2017-2018 are kept on hold for the time being as resolved in the meeting of the Admission Committee, GU held on 17-07-2017. Students are requested to visit this site for any update on this matter. This has the approval of the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, GU.”
Although, the exams were scheduled for July 28 and 29.
