Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, HPBOSE has announced to cancel the Class 12 Board Exams 2021 due to the steady upsurge in COVID cases across the state. This decision has been taken in the meeting of the Himachal Pradesh State Government Cabinet under the Chairmanship of CM, Jai Ram Thakur, held on Saturday.

As per the latest media reports, the Himachal Pradesh State Chief Minister, Shri Jai Ram Thakur has stated in his decision that the health and safety of our students is the utmost priority and there would be no compromise with this.  The official notification is yet to be released by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, HPBOSE.

Keeping the safety and security of students on priority, CM Jai Ram Thakur cancelled the class 12 board examinations and announce to evaluate students on the basis of result criteria prepare by the CBSE. However, if any students wish to appear for the written board examinations they can apply for the same from their respective schools. The Board authorties will make the separate announcement for the same after the situation will turn conducive.

Earlier the HPBOSE announced to cancel the Class 10 Board Exams 2021. The students of class 10 will be promoted to the next class without examination. The Board authorities said that the final result of students in class X will be calculated based on their performance in the pre-board exams as well as in the first and second terms.
