CBSE to celebrate Constitution Day on 26 Novenber 2015
CBSE has put notice to all affiliated Institutions about the celebration of the Constitution Day on the coming 26th of November, 2015. The notice said, India is governed in terms of the Constitution of India, which was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November, 1949 and came into force on 26th January, 1950. Schools will honour our democracy by celebrating 26th November, 2015 as the Constitution Day.

EVENTS FOR THE DAY

1. During the Morning Assembly:

a. The School head may address students briefly about the significance of celebrating the    Constitution Day

b. The Head will lead the school in taking the pledge by reciting the PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION

The Preamble of Indian Constitution records the aims and aspirations of the people of India and reflects the basic spirit of the Constitution. Taking the pledge on this important occasion in schools instils a sense of patriotism among students and engages their hearts and minds with a sense of being a part of one great nation.

2. A poster–making competition to illustrate the messages contained in the Preamble to the Indian Constitution for all students of classes VI to XII.

a. Class teachers may select the best three, and submit the same for competition to the art teachers who may declare the top three positions in each class level, namely, VI-XII.

b. The School Head may declare the winners at the special assembly during the last period, and award the students with a certificate of appreciation from the school. The certificate will be designed in a manner to celebrate the CONSTITUTION DAY, 2015.

The Board has requested School Heads to ensure the day is celebrated in a manner to celebrate the constitution as a 'living document', capable of adapting itself to current situation.
