The Mock Test (Practice Test) of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2014 for admission to Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and Private Management Institutes has become online. The mock tests are for demonstration purpose and will familiarize students to all the new exam pattern and questions.
The aspirants can avail this facility using CAT 2014 website. The students will get more information on prominent changes effective from this year.
The number of question for CAT examination has been increased from 60 to 100. The examination will be conducted in one shift now. The CAT examination will be held on November 16 and 22 across 99 cities at 354 examination centres in four sessions.
Issuing a notification Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore said that "Earlier, candidates appearing for CAT were getting 140 minutes to solve the paper, but now time has been increased to 170 minutes."
The candidates will be given the time duration of 2 hour 50 minutes to solve both sets of question papers for different section. The question paper for online mock test has been uploaded on the official website.
The applicants will get 30 minutes more as the number of questions will be more this time. In every section of CAT ; 50 questions each will be asked. The online admit card for 1.97 lakh students have already been uploaded on the website who would take examination. Most number of students and examination centres are from Delhi-NCR.
The applicants will get opportunity to take admission in 19 IIMs and 4000 seats would be offered. Except this candidates may also get admission in more than 150 Business Schools across the country.

Rectification in Application Form :
The students who have already registered for CAT Exam can rectify the changes in their application form. The students would be able to bring changes in their application form and can add their personal information from November 25 to 28. The website will remain open during this time period. The students till now can change their basic information and Date of Birth (DOB).
