In a bid to provide proper placement support, the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) has decided to open experience zones for students.
"We will open up experience zones at three locations in Delhi/NCR - Wave Silver Tower - Noida, South-Ex Part 1 and Kalu Sarai for students by March end," said Utpal Ghosh, President and CEO of UPES.
While the zone counsellors will give industry oriented training and sharpen soft skills of the students, UPES offers graduate and undergraduate courses in architecture, power, electronics, oil and gas, design and business.
Ghosh reiterated that UPES has also introduced a new placement policy to support students who wish to pursue entrepreneurship.
"With the new placement policy in place, we urge our students to follow their entrepreneurial dreams by giving their alma maters for placement support," he added.
